Look At Me: I Can Celebrate Shabbat
Look at Me: I Can Celebrate Shabbat introduces the key vocabulary of Shabbat, including: creation, day of rest, blessings, Kiddush, hallah, and havdalah. These concepts are reinforced through activities that simultaneously develop key learning-readiness skills, such as counting and color recognition. For example, students count the letters in the word "Shabbat." They also ask questions such as "how are Shabbat candles different from birthday candles?" and "what does the sun look like at sun down?"
