Torah Alive!
Combining the latest early childhood teaching techniques and years of experience in her own classroom, educator Lorraine Posner Arcus presents an innovative, age-appropriate approach to the study of Torah.
Children learn best by doing. Through involvement in carefully prepared hands-on experiences with stories from the Torah, young children are able to learn from the lives of their foremothers and forefathers. The Torah truly comes alive for students as they become active participants in the text through this curriculum, which involves dress-up, puppets, art projects, and music.
Lorraine Posner Arcus is founder and director of a nationally recognized community Israeli dance program and author of Zman Lirkod: A Manual for Teaching Israeli Dance. In 2001, Lorraine received the Covenant Award for outstanding Jewish educators.
